Well! I haven't written a post in a while and I'm sure everyone is just dying for an update!

Our routine hasn't changed much—we take morning and evening walks, we lesson plan and teach, I write fiction and cook most of our meals (the rest we pick up on the street or get delivered). We do a bigger grocery shop at Foodland or Villa Market or the wet market, and then supplement with fruit and vegetables from the local vendors on our street. We are finding new side streets to explore on our daily walks, and sometimes we get caught in the rain.

Roman went to his school to pick up some books, and visited a couple of his fellow English teachers on their apartment rooftop.

I also had to pick up some materials from my school, and took pics of a pretty building, and of a vendor selling mangosteens from the back of his truck.

I could also share some pictures of our meals?

Here's a lunch I madesalmon with asparagus, yogurt-cucumber sauce, sticky rice, and lime (would you believe I bought the salmon frozen at 7-11 and it wasn't bad? Though it turns out the salmon from Khlong Toei is a little better):

This was a weird use-what's-in-the-house solo meal—savory French toast with a little cheese fried on top, with pan-fried and salted king trumpet mushrooms:

Fried duck egg with king trumpet mushrooms, green onions, rice, and a soy-garlic sauce:

Head-on shrimp with carrots and cucumbers on sticky rice, with a lime-chili-garlic-cilantro-mint sauce:

Fried yellow tofu with morning glory and sticky rice (Roman's also had dried shrimp):

I don't usually include pics of breakfast, but here are some overnight oats with yogurt and some coconut peanuts on top (with Roman's coffee and my tea):

And here's a to-go lunch from a cart near Phloen Chit—Roman got fried chicken with rice and I got pad kra pow gai kai dao (stir fried holy basil chicken with a fried egg).

Oh, and did I mention my mom sent us an amazing box of chocolates!? I prepared Roman a “chocolate flight” with some palate cleansing digestive biscuits:

And that's it for now!
