Another blog!? I know, it's like we actually do stuff when we're on vacation. Or at least we take more pictures!

On Saturday morning, we hit the breakfast buffet at the hotel—Roman got a croissant (which he burnt a little in the revolving toaster) with jam, fruit, a pastry, a piece of fried fish, and an omelet, plus a coffee and a hot chocolate, and I had dried fruit with yogurt, cornflakes, and jam, along with some tea (PG Tips!) that I picked up at Villa Market yesterday.

Then we took a long walk up Pattaya Beach.

Eventually, we stopped to sit in some shaded chairs under the umbrellas, where we ordered a couple soda waters, which came in cozies.

We sat and watched the waves and chatted, as folks came by with baskets of different goods for sale—fresh fruit, dried squid, fried savory snacks, boiled peanuts, shrimp chips, or swim trunks. We bought 20 baht worth of hard candy from a boy selling store-bought candies in small ziploc bags. I swam in the ocean, which was much cleaner at this part of the bay.

Roman brought his camera along, and he tested out using his phone as a remote to take some photos of us both.

I know, they look like engagement photos or something.

On our way back home, we stopped at a little restaurant on the beachfront for a cheap lunch...

Back at home, we swam in the pool, lounged around, read, and enjoyed some sweeties we bought from a nearby bakery...

In the late afternoon, we walked down Pattaya Walking Street, the former red light district/current ghost town, where we snuck around a deserted beachfront bar.

Oh this is Utopia!

We walked the entire length of the (long) street until we finally emerged at the other side, near the Bali Hai pier, where there were suddenly small crowds of people hanging out, taking pictures in front of the Pattaya sign, buying food from one of a handful of snack carts, or skateboarding in the small skate park. We took some pictures as the sun started to set.

And then we returned to Pattaya Beach on the darkening Walking Street, which really is a lot spookier after sunset.

We stopped at a different kebab place for dinner, where I got a veggie kebab and Roman got one with chicken and cheese that was so delicious he ate too much and (maybe) regretted making fun of me for getting a veggie kebab in the first place.

And then we headed home for the night.
